Separate board and lodging facilities are available separately for outstation boys and girls. Seats are limited and allotted on first-come first-served basis.
COMPUTER CENTRE
The Computer Centre has been set up as a centralized service centre so that students can use this for various purposes, such as,
a) Programming;
b) Project work;
c) Preparation of seminar materials;
etc.
The facility includes 60 Terminals along with printers and Internet Facility with 8Mbps Leased line.
CAFETERIA
The Institute has an excellent cafeteria with a seating capacity for more than 200 persons. It has a well-planned hygienic kitchen run by a reputed caterer at administered prices. Multi-cuisine lunch and snacks are being served in the cafeteria. A fast food restaurant-cum-convenience store is also there.
STUDENTS' CORNER
Essential books, stationery etc., as well as reprographic facilities are available here. One PCO has also been installed for convenience of the students.
COMMON ROOMS
The Institute has common rooms (seperately for boys and girls) equiped with indoor games facilities like Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess etc.
TRANSPORTATION
Two way transportation is available from prominent locations in Kolkata at scheduled hours based on students' demand. Transport facilities for members of faculty and staff, as also for visitors, are available from the Traffic Island near Ruby General Hospital.
ELECTRIC SUBSTATION & GENERATOR
The campus has its own electric substation with two transformers - 750 kVA and 630 kVA - and two gensets - 375 kVA and 380 kVA.These are maintained as per norms prescribed by the CESC authorities.
FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEM
As per stipulations of the West Bengal Fire Fighting Services Act, dedicated plumbing and fire fighting cylinders have been provided in each floor of the Institute building.
HEALTH CARE
A medical unit is available in the campus besides arrangements with hospitals located nereby.
BANKING
An Extension counter of Punjab National Bank along with 24-hour ATM facility within the campus takes care of the banking requirements of students and staff. It also extends various soft loans to students for their academic necessaities.
SPORTS / GAMES
A common room, equipped with major indoor games facilities like Table Tennis, Carom and Chess are available. There are excellent facilities for outdoor games and sports like cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, golf and swiming managed by a Sports Officer and a Swiming Instructor.
POSTAGE
All postal facilities are available at East Kolkata Township P.O., located nereby; besides, there is an extension counter of a reputed courier service inside the campus.
