Eligibility
In keeping with the tradition of academic excellence of the Institute, eligibility criteria are stringent. All aspiring applicants must be Graduate in 10+2+3 system as recognized by Association of Indian Universities / AICTE in any discipline or Graduate in any professional course (Engineering, Medical, LLB (5 years), etc.) of recognized University.Cadidates should have 60% marks in 10+2 level and preferably 50% marks in aggregate in Graduation level. Candidates having above 60% through out their career will get preference.
For the day programme, candidates appreaing in the final year of their Graduation examination can also apply, provided they complete all formalities of examinations within June 2009 and furnish the proof of having met the minimum eligibility criteria by September 2009.
For the evening programme,candidates must be employed in a full-time executive/supervisory level job with a minimum of two years' work experience after graduation,at the time of admission.
Selection Process
MBA Day Time
Selection for the day programme will be through CAT 2009 and also through WBJEMAT 2010. Candidates with Common Admission Test (CAT) 2009 score card will be short-listed on the basis oftheir scores.Foreign and NRI candidates will have to submit their GMAT scores.
MBA Evening
Selection for the evening programme will be through MAT 2009-10 and also through WBJEMAT 2010. Candidates with Management Aptitude Test (MAT) (September-2009, December-2009, February-2010 and May-2010) score card will be short-listed on the basis of their scores.
Candidates opting for the WBJEMAT 2010 will be admitted as per WBUT norms.
Group Discussion and Interview
The short-listed candidates will be called for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) in Kolkata. Past Academic Record of candidates and Work Experiences will also be considered for final selection.
Application Process
Prospectus with Application Form can be obtained from the Institute campus on payment of Rs.1,000/- in cash or by a crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of “ HERITAGE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ” payable at Kolkata. Applicants may also download the application form, from the HIT website- www.heritageit.edu and submit the same, alongwith the requisite fee of Rs. 1,000/- at the institute within the scheduled date to be announced in the newspaper/ website from time to time.
FEE STRUCTURE :
The programme fee covers tuition, instructions and course materials, access to and use of the Library and the Computer Lab.

University registration fees, Video conferencing fees, Seminar fees are payable on actual cost basis or as prescribed by the norms of WBUT.
The Institute provides Financial Assistance to deserving and meritorious students.
HOSTEL FEE
The candidates who wish to avail of the hostel facilities will be allotted hostel rooms on a “first come first served” basis. Each student staying in the hostel will be required deposit Rs. 10,000 as refundable hostel caution money at the time of admission. Further, the room rent of Rs. 18,000 per Semester will be payable at the beginning of every Semester. The meal and other miscellaneous charges for a given month are payable on actual basis at the beginning of the next month.
EDUCATIONAL LOANS
To assist deserving students, who may not have the financial means to complete the programme, some leading banks of India have agreed to provide educational loans to the selected students.
FINANCIAL AID / ASSISTANCE

- Assistance for subsidized Educational Loan from Nationalized Banks
- Assistance for scholarship/ financial assistance from various Government, Non Government Organisation and Trusts
- Scholarship/ Stipend awarded by Backward Classes Welfare Minorities Development of the Govt. of West Bengal in respect of SC/ST/OBC students
- Assistance through Education Loan Scheme of West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation for minority communities students
- Assistance also provided for Railway Travel Concession to eligible students.
